GENERAL PUBLIC

The PAV Inc Group rely on public support to make their initiatives possible.

The PAV concept has been born out of the need for the community to themselves take the responsibility for making our local area a better place to live. Rather than simply expecting the police and governments to solve the problems in isolation, PAV is all about the community showing the initiative and getting relevant government agencies and other groups to help out.

PAV is seeking support from members of the public who will become members. For a cost of $50 per household you can support this worthy project and help make the PAV initiative a reality. PAV is also encouraging the public to report local vandalism to the police on 131 444 and to report instances of graffiti to our specially established hotline when it begins operation in June.

Prompt reporting of graffiti vandalism leads to prompt graffiti removal, which in turn can reduce the likelihood of more graffiti vandalism. Graffiti vandalism is an offence. If you have any information which might help identify offenders, contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

If your own property is vandalised, report the incident to the police on 131 444 and follow their advice. Currently residence and businesses are encouraged to remove graffiti from their own properties as soon as possible.

Where graffiti vandalism is located on council property the report will be sent to the City of Wanneroo. Where the graffiti vandalism has occurred on State Government property, the report will be sent to the Government of Western Australia. Where the graffiti vandalism occurs on private property, the graffiti will be cleaned by the PAV Graffiti Busters Brigade. The brigade requires a legal waiver before entering private property. Therefore the property owner must be a member of PAV and sign a waiver beforehand.

PAV is also looking for volunteers to help with the work associated with this initiative. If you would like to volunteer click here.
